About the Role
At Billforward, our billing and WiFi commerce platform powers some of the largest Software and ISP companies in the UK and North America.
We are currently enhancing our WiFi commerce platform and are looking for a talented Lead Developer to take up the challenge and help define WiFi Commerce for the next decade.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of leading small teams and deep insights into how to design, build and ship software that impacts the bottom line.
We are still a small team, well-funded, growing quickly and focused on building a world-class company.
We are looking for an experienced full stack lead developer to head up the team responsible for taking our WiFi commerce platform to the next level.
Caring deeply about the customer experience is a must. Our UI is powered from our public APIs, so attention to detail and semantics are important at every level.
We work iteratively and deploy often (can be several times a day). We use ViewJS and Zurb as our front-end application framework. Other technologies on our web application stack include Sass, PHP (CodeIgniter), and MySQL for the data store.
- Proven track record of leading small teams
- Experience designing RESTful APIs
- Track record of building great applications with the user experience in mind
- Excellent debugging and optimisation skills
- Unit/integration testing experience
- PHP knowledge
- Experience with ViewJS
- Experience with Java/Kotlin
- Interest in visualising complex and time-series data
