The BeOnAir Network is an organization that instructs students in all areas of the broadcast industry to become the next generation of media professionals. Our brand promise is “Learn from a Pro to Become a Pro”; students are trained by broadcast media professionals working in the field. The organization operates seven campuses across Ohio, Illinois, Colorado, and Miami.

Like all members of the BeOnAir Network staff, the Campus Director is expected to project the organization's core values and core purpose. This position supports a college and creative culture and ensures graduates are fully ready for entry-level employment opportunities.

The Campus Director assists in facilitating, training, and leading all Title IV and non-Title IV campus operations, inclusive of Leadership, Instruction, Financial Aid, Education, Student Services, and Career Services, resulting in achieving budgeted goals. The Campus Director directly supports the goals and visions of the BeOnAir Network by leading the campus departments to succeed with their individual departmental goals. This position works in accordance with the mission, core values, and core purpose of the BeOnAir Network.

Scorecard Accountabilities: Admissions, Financial Aid, Education, Instructors, Career Services, Brand Management, Customer Satisfaction, and Employee Satisfaction

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise education staff leadership, ensuring all campus goals are met and/or surpassed.
  • Ensure Department is supported, managed, and working to meet its scorecard metrics.
  • Assist, model, and lead staff to effectively work with students to resolve issues and problems due to daily calls and tracking to ensure that they are retained and achieve their academic/personal enrichment goals.
  • Ensure staff engage all students with unexplained days of no attendance and revisit their job search goals.
  • Coordinate with staff to ensure that students not on target for graduation date have been spoken with regarding barriers and ensure a plan is in place and agreed to by the student.
  • Ensure excellent student services through structured follow-up with students during their training experience using the customer satisfaction survey as the assessment tool.
  • Coordinate with staff to ensure that students are not on target each term and have been spoken with regarding barriers and ensure a plan is in place. Continue to follow up on this action plan until the student is back on track.
  • Grow, maintain, and promote a productive and positive work environment measured via staff survey satisfaction percentage and staff retention.
  • Provide superior servant leadership to staff via phone, email, and face-to-face visits.
  • Summarize and report campus findings, issues, and/or complaints to Campus Director upon immediate receipt.
  • Review weekly staff reports and scorecards to ensure that staff goals are effectively being met/surpassed.
  • Escalate necessary students to Campus Director.
  • Train staff to multitask all conversations with students for referrals.
  • Minimize falloff rates to budgeted amounts.
  • Create next-level growth amongst staff.
  • Ensure Compliance in all Departments.
  • Make phone calls and/or visits to community politicians, potential guest speakers, advisory board members, and/or new internship opportunities.
  • Manage time to complete other priorities for the week (payroll, expenses, corporate projects, etc.)

Supervision Received:

This is an independent position that reports to the Campus Director and through which several weekly training meetings take place:

  1. Leading Lab Hour and Online Progression KPIs
  2. Internal Internship clocks and participation
  3. Student Satisfaction/Institutional Feedback to Tools Completing and Rates and Analysis and follow-up to feedback
  4. Attendance/Grades/Progression Tracking
  5. 3rd Term and LOA and Re-entry outreach
  6. Town Hall Process
  7. Leading weekly education Meeting structure for Campus/National Call/ Local Meeting Structure
  8. Be in attendance on Weekly IT Call to communicate our Instructional/Facility Concerns.

Supervision of Others:

This individual supervises all non-admissions campus staff and therefore is accountable for hiring, assessing, training, disciplining, evaluating, terminating non-admissions employees, and recommending employees’ payment structure.

Work Experience Requirements:

  • Five years of business experience in operational, sales, and administration leadership. May need to complete criminal and drug background checks successfully.
  • Prior Campus Management Experience preferred.

Education Requirements:

4-year college degree or 10 years of industry experience.

Physical Demands:

To fully service the staff and student needs, this position requires the employee to often physically move from department to department and present multiple lectures for long periods. This is not a sedentary position. Occasional lifting, bending, and climbing stairs. Frequent talking, listening, walking, sitting, and standing. Ability to perform multiple concurrent tasks and function in a fast-paced working environment.
