Job Description

About the Data Analyst role:

The Data Analyst will work with Beekeeper’s technology & analytics team to build and maintain dashboards, reports, and ad-hoc analyses to support our client’s eCommerce business.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain internal data sources including: creating templates and forms for data collection, assisting with cleansing data, validating data, troubleshooting and correcting errors as necessary.

  • Assist with user research and needs analyses to identify analytics needs and design appropriate solutions.

  • Wrangle messy e-commerce data into clean datasets for analysis and reporting

  • Create and maintain reporting dashboards to present clear, actionable information to Beekeeper team members and external clients. 

  • Assist with the creation of models to inform forecasting and optimization strategies for our Business Management, Advertising, and Supply Chain teams.

  • Provide technical and analytic support to Beekeeper team members and external clients.

  • Provide on-demand analyses and reports as business needs evolve.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills required.

  • Experience with one or more business intelligence/data visualization tools required (Tableau or PowerBI preferred)

  • Experience with SQL strongly preferred

  • Experience with Python a plus

  • Must be adaptable and inquisitive, always seeking to better understand the utility (and limitations) of the data available.

  • Strong critical thinking/analytical mindset.  The ideal candidate will not take assumptions, data, or conclusions at face value.  Instead he/she will dig-in, validate, analyze, and always seek to not only answer the question at hand, but also anticipate and address the hidden questions that may follow.

  • Must be comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment with complex, messy, and imperfect data.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.  Must be a self starter able to produce reliable, accurate datasets and analyses with minimal supervision

  • Demonstrated experience as an effective team member with strong communications skills, reliability/integrity/maturity.

  • eCommerce and/or digital advertising experience is a plus.

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher required.

  • Must have a dedicated office at home or elsewhere with access to secure high-speed internet and phone, and sufficient space for two monitors. This is not a job that can be done at a coffee shop or while traveling (appropriate equipment will be provided).

  • Ability to travel 1-3 times per year for meetings and company events.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
