Junior/Intermediate Devops Engineer

Technology | New York, NY | Full Time

Job Description

Sportsrocket is looking for a Junior-Intermediate Devops Engineer to join our team in Seattle and NYC.

We run a streaming and video content management platform designed to bridge the gap between broadcast and digital. We have teams in New York, Seattle, Poland, and India. The New York and Seattle offices are in great locations and share a friendly, laid-back, anti-hierarchical culture.

Job responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring high availability of various microservices and AWS infrastructure. + Ensuring high availability of live-streams during streaming events.
  • Deploying and configuring cloud infrastructure on AWS.
  • Reigning in AWS expenditures.
  • Improving the CI/CD workflow.
  • Implementing automation, service-monitoring, and testing.

The ideal candidate is driven, excited by complexity, and takes ownership. Strong dev skills and/or experience with AWS are a huge plus. If you're a solid dev looking to branch out into devops but don't necessarily have the operations / AWS / systems background, this could be a great opportunity for you to learn. We will provide extensive training.

Ideally, you're available Tuesday - Saturday. If not, we will expect occasional weekend work, but offer generous time-off in exchange for any weekend work.

Please note: we are not looking for remote employees.
