SOCIAL MEDIA DESIGNER

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conceptualize, produce and execute multiple creative outputs per day across all social platforms (including, but not limited to, standard posts, re-cuts of how-to videos, motion-graphics videos, animated GIFs, cinemagraphs, etc.).

  • Ability to produce quickly and prolifically (multiple creative outputs per day), while reacting to trends and helping to continually evolve the brand's platforms.

  • Shoot any required imagery, including styling and art directing. Design and retouch social posts, plus make modifications to existing creative, as needed.

  • Assist on the photo retouching of campaigns, catalog images and other marketing needs.

  • Lead ongoing development and updates of social creative guidelines to ensure consistent look and feel across platforms.

  • Problem-solve and think fast on your feet to deliver quick turnaround when required (often in 24 hours or less); ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Report regularly on competitive brand activity, as well as leading non-beauty brands.

  • Research niche brands and creative/editorial outlets for the latest trends and inspiration.

  • Contribute to brainstorms with cross-functional team to help surface new, innovative ways to create digital/social content. Always be ready to bring ideas and solutions to the table based on feedback from business, our audience, or higher-ups.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience. MUST have a strong online design portfolio that includes Digital, Photography and Social work.

  • Photography (smartphone and DSLR), design, video editing and motion-graphics skills with a keen eye for taste level and unique executions.

  • Strong photography and design experience (Adobe Creative Suite).

  • Detail oriented, original and have an excellent sense of aesthetics and expressive visual designs.

  • In addition to good personal taste, have ability to translate a brand or business need into a compelling visual concept.

  • Great communication skills, a structured and result- oriented approach and are highly self-motivated.

  • Able to successfully work under pressure and can manage your own time efficiently.

  • You are a good team player and have a positive attitude.

  • Demonstrated experience conceptualizing, supporting and executing impactful, engaging creative for digital/social platforms.

  • Fashion, beauty or media/entertainment background.
