Wine Server

Bar | Napa, CA | Full Time and Part Time

Job Description

Position Summary: A Bar Lucia wine server is able to provide friendly and responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all our guests every day. You will share your extensive knowledge of wine, passion for food, and hospitality with each individual who walks through our doors and create a positive guest experience by listening to their needs and providing recommendations that meet or exceed expectations. 

 Qualifications:  •   1 year as wine server. •   Work efficiently, with a sense of urgency. •   Wine Knowledge is a must and fundamentals of the Napa Valley Wine Industry. •   You are detail-oriented, self-motivated, and possess a true passion for hospitality, great food and wine. •   You are positive individual and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment •   Possess or are able to complete a CA Food Handler Certification •   Able to handle multiple tables/ tasks 

 Essential Duties & Responsibilities: •   Deliver a gracious experience to all guests while effectively employing selling techniques by discussing wine. •   Describe wines in a fun and engaging way to the guest.  •   Serve and describe each item on the menu, highlighting wine and food pairings

 The physical demands of the position include:  •   Visual and auditory ability to observe and to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency situation. •   Must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).  •   Able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.  •   Must have the stamina to work 50 hours per week minimum. •   Daily lifting of wine cases and kegs.
