Backbase was founded in 2003 by Jouk Pleiter and Gerbert Kaandorp and is privately funded. Working for Backbase you have the opportunity to live in two of the most culturally vibrant cities in the world: Amsterdam (headquarters) or New York City (North American office).
You will join as member of the Backbase Technical Support department. The support department within Backbase is responsible for responding and resolving technical issues from our valued support customer base. You will report to the VP Products.
As Support Engineer you will have an important role in strengthening processes and extend our global presence.
Your main task is to help and advice Backbase customers with the questions and support requests they have regarding our products, ranging from simple license questions via telephone to complex on-site troubleshooting. You will work in a team of high skilled international people across the world.
In order to succeed in this challenging and dynamic position with lots of growth potential, our ideal candidate will fit the following profile:
- Experience with Application Servers (ie. Tomcat, WebSphere, JBoss etc.);
- Experience with SQL databases;
- Excellent communication skills;
- A flexible, service driven attitude towards troubleshooting;
- Experience with automated testing of frontend deliverables is a plus (e.g. Selenium);
- University degree in a technical study;
- 1-2 years programming and troubleshooting experience.
