The Sr. Java Developer is part of Backbase’s R&D Team in New York.
As part of the R&D team, be responsible for the product development for the Backbase Product Suite. Use Scrum for the development process, along with elements from XP and TDD. Build, expand, and enhance products. Deliver sound technical design to develop a complete lightweight architecture which is scalable, performing, secure, and maintainable. Help improve the R&D development department. Support the organization by sharing lmowledge, coaching colleagues and showing ownership of one of our products. Define product architecture.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, plus 5 years of experience within enterprise projects in different roles. Ability to transform business requirements into technical architecture. Ability to make estimations for various projects. Knowledge of the following: Spring and Spring extensions such as Web, Security, Data or Batch; Persistence frameworks such as Hibernate or JPA;Application Servers such as WebSphere, Weblogic or JBoss; Databases such as Oracle or DB2. Experience with restfull services (REST). Experience with software product development.
