- Hourly pay: $110-$130/hr
- Worksite: Leading music streaming company (New York City, NY - Hybrid, Must be oniste 3 days per week (Flexibility on days))

A leading music streaming company seeks a VP of Finance - Transformation Initiatives. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that all transformation efforts align with the organization’s financial goals and budgetary constraints. As a key partner to the Chief Transformation Officer, the leader will ensure financial discipline across transformation programs and provide actionable insights to maximize ROI.
VP of Finance - Transformation Initiatives Responsibilities:
- Financial Alignment and Analysis: Partner with the CTO to develop financial models that support the evaluation and prioritization of transformation initiatives.
- Budget Management:
- Collaborate with department heads to allocate resources efficiently and manage budgets tied to transformation projects.
- Establish mechanisms for real-time tracking of expenditures and forecasting financial impact.
- Performance Tracking:
- Develop KPIs and financial metrics to measure the success of transformation programs.
- Support the implementation of dashboards and tools to communicate progress to stakeholders.
- Strategic Partnering:
- Act as a trusted advisor to the CTO and other leaders, offering insights to balance strategic priorities with financial sustainability.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and organizational policies throughout the execution of transformation programs.
- Leadership and Influence: Foster a culture of financial accountability and strategic thinking across the organization.
VP of Finance - Transformation Initiatives Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in financial leadership, including roles focused on transformation, strategy, or operational finance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- MBA or a CPA is preferred.
- Proven ability to align large-scale initiatives with financial goals.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Experience in budget management for multi-department initiatives.
- Proficiency with financial tools and project management software.

- McKinsey Change Model Expertise: Hands-on experience applying McKinsey change frameworks in corporate transformation settings.
- Business Case Development: Able to build clear, data-driven business cases for new initiatives and collaborate with Finance on ongoing efforts, especially around cash flow optimization.
- Proactive Risk & Opportunity Management: Strategic thinker who identifies and flags risks and opportunities early, with a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Change Agent & Influencer: Comfortable challenging the status quo and driving cultural transformation. Able to foster collaboration, transparency, and organizational alignment.
- Collaboration & Accountability: Promotes accountability among leadership; focused on results and continuous improvement.
- Experience in subscription-based media or adjacent industries is strongly preferred.
- Team Leadership: Will manage one direct report.
