  • 16 hours/week, 6 Month Assignment

A leading university is seeking a University Leadership Institute General Marketing Manager to join the Graduate School of Business. The successful candidate will support the launch of the new institute by developing timely content related to our research, academic experiences, and convenings.

University Leadership Institute General Marketing Manager Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining the Institute’s website with the latest content and design updates (to be launched in 2026)
  • Developing event marketing materials.
  • Working with writers to craft stories on research projects, events, and more.
  • Creating social content and managing the institute's social channels (to be launched).
  • Coordinating with the Graduate School of Business communications and partner teams to amplify institute news on GSB and partner channels.

University Leadership Institute General Marketing Manager Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of marketing experience with 3-5 years of digital communications experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience building and executing cross-functional marketing programs.
  • Excellent understanding of audience needs by medium and ability to create standout content.
  • Excellent web and social media management and writing skills.
  • Ability to create timely and high-quality pieces for web, email, social media, and print.
  • Creative, design-forward in approach.
  • Well-rounded ability to do some light design work (e.g., newsletter layout, image photoshopping) with fluency in digital design tools to support written content pieces with integrated design and templates.
  • Strategic thinking with tactical execution.
  • Ability to set and implement high-level communications goals and execute those goals.
  • Demonstrated interest in research and academia-based content is a plus.
  • Valued contributor. Responsive, process-driven partner, with excellent attention to detail and time management.
  • Comfort with managing through ambiguity in building something from the ground up.
  • Comfortable with university setting, guidelines, and tools (G Suite, Slack, Drupal, Instagram, X, LinkedIn).

Shift:

  • 2 days/week, flexible hours, and schedule as long as project deadlines are met.
