A leading electronics testing company is seeking a Systems Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes, improve production planning, develop operational reporting, and implement data-driven solutions that enhance throughput, cycle time, delivery performance, and operational efficiency.
Systems Engineer Responsibilities:
- Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to improve process capability, eliminate waste, optimize throughput, reduce cycle time, and drive continuous improvement across a multi-site precision manufacturing network.
- Develop and maintain capacity models, production scheduling logic, machine utilization analysis, and reporting tools while partnering with Planning and Supply Chain teams to balance production capacity and demand.
- Design and maintain Power BI dashboards, operational reports, and data visualization tools by leveraging MES, ERP, SQL, Snowflake, and shop floor data systems to provide real-time manufacturing insights.
- Lead root cause investigations, statistical analysis, and structured problem-solving efforts while developing standard work, process documentation, and operational procedures using SharePoint and Confluence.
- Collaborate with Operations, Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering, Business IT/OT, and cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing systems, data integrity, reporting, and overall operational performance.
Systems Engineer Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering field required; Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is preferred.
- Experience applying Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies, including DMAIC, Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, statistical analysis, root cause investigation, time studies, work standards, and process documentation.
- Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), shop floor data systems (Opcenter or similar), ERP systems (Oracle or similar), production scheduling, finite capacity planning, capacity modeling, machine utilization analysis, and proficiency with Power BI, SQL or database querying, Snowflake, AI tools, and data visualization/reporting tools.
- Experience with Wire EDM machine operation, CAM software programming, precision inspection tools, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T); strong problem-solving skills are required.
- Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights, work effectively in a fast-paced, high-mix manufacturing environment, and collaborate across Operations, Engineering, IT, and Supply Chain teams.
