A leading children's medical institution is seeking a Supply Chain Technician - Healthcare. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and delivering medical supplies and equipment to the operating room. The ideal candidate has two to three years of job-related experience.

Supply Chain Technician - Healthcare Pay and Benefits:

  • Hourly pay: $22/hr
  • Worksite: Leading children's medical institution (Irving, TX 75063 - Onsite)
  • W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL
  • 40 hours/week, 3 Month Assignment

Supply Chain Technician - Healthcare Responsibilities:

  • Perform cyclical and annual inventories on both storeroom supplies and point-of-use systems.
  • Accept and process customer returns.
  • Maintains clean and clutter-free workspace to include receiving dock and storeroom.
  • Process emergency requests for stocked material.
  • Receiving:
    • Retrieve incoming materials, supplies, and equipment delivered to the medical center for the Operating Room from the receiving department.
    • Identify correct supply item and quantities with receiving department staff and sign for packages.
    • Segregate material for delivery and stock location storage.
  • Issue: Pull material from storage locations and complete all required transaction data entry.
  • Delivery / Stocking:
    • Deliver direct delivery items, point-of-use (Omnicell) replenishments, and requisition self-service items to the applicable storage locations.
    • Stock points of use (POU) cabinets, assist with POU cycle inventories, identify shortages, and make POU cell management changes as necessary.
  • Storage:
    • Place delivered supplies into their assigned storage location utilizing first-in first-out rotation.
  • Inventory:
    • Perform as-required cycle and regular stockroom / point-of-use inventories.
    • Perform PAR counting and issue to designated PAR activities.
  • Returns:
    • Return supplies/equipment according to established timeframes and entering the return information on the appropriate forms.
    • Facilitate and coordinate timely repair of instrumentation, and other equipment.
    • Ensure compliance with all employment requirements such as periodic employee health matters, training and education, etc.
  • Implementation: Evaluate project requests associated with field of expertise and/or systems supported, conducting current state assessments, requirements gathering and definition, future state design and application build activities.
  • Project Management: Prepare detailed project plans and lead the Application Team in adhering to project schedules and timelines and completing projects on time and within budget.
  • Monitor, acknowledge, and resolve heat tickets as assigned.
  • Coordinate software and hardware patches, service packs, and version upgrades with customer departments and System Administrator(s).
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system procedures.
  • Log hours for project-related work in the Project Portfolio Management (PPM) system on a weekly basis. (Excluding Lab) Utilize HP Quality Center system for creating test cases and scripts, monitoring testing execution and providing documentation as required for production change control approval.
  • Formulating system scope and objectives to develop or modify complex system designs;
  • Daily checklist for servers, services, log files, backups, scheduled SQL jobs, scheduled tasks, CPU usage, monitor space, transaction logs, etc.
  • Interface maintenance and support; Ensure coordination and documentation of hardware and software support and upgrades (servers, SQL, Citrix servers, VM Ware, desktop, network, telecommunication, SAN storage, internet application, remote users).
  • Work closely with IT resources during upgrades and issue resolutions, troubleshooting application, process, and technical issues.

Supply Chain Technician - Healthcare Qualifications:

  • 2-3+ years of job-related experience.
  • Experience with surgical supplies, procedures, medical terminology, and the surgical environment is preferred.
  • Maintenance, support, and troubleshooting.
  • Automated technology such as point-of-use cabinets.
  • Materials Management Information System (Lawson) and hand-held barcode readers.

Shift:

  • Monday to Thursday 3 pm-11:30 pm and Friday from 2 pm-10:30 pm on the 2nd shift.
