A leading music streaming company is seeking a Sr. Technical Program Manager. The successful candidate will serve as a force multiplier for the data engineering teams that build these data sets through their expertise
in communication, planning, and program management.
Sr. Technical Program Manager Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and other Technical Project Managers to support Data development delivery.
- Support the Data Org’s the work-intake triage process to ensure new requests are addressed in accordance with SLAs.
- Track and report team velocity and manage Sprint capacity and ensure the team is working efficiently towards delivery goals.
- Organize and facilitate daily stand-up meetings, sprint and release planning, backlog grooming and refinement sessions, sprint demos, retrospectives and other process meetings.
- Coach the development team and stakeholders on following Data Org processes and practices and ensure they are effectively implementing them.
Sr. Technical Program Manager Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a Technical PM or Scrum Master role, ideally having experience working in a technically challenging and complex environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, BI or Analytics, or Software Engineering.
- Experience in simultaneously assisting multiple Scrum teams distributed globally.
- Expertise in Jira and Confluence, ideally with proficiency in advanced add-ins such as ALM Works Structure.
- Experience supporting a cloud-based Technical data environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to set informed delivery expectations based on complexity and team capacity and understand/communicate technical issues.
- Experience working with enterprise data platforms, such as Databricks or Snowflake, and proficiency with using SQL to query large data sets.
- Familiarity with GitHub.
Shift:
- 9 am- 6 pm, Eastern Time office hours.
