A leading technology company is seeking a Sr. Production Planner. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing production planning/NPI activities around making a weekly and monthly production plan and translating to the day-to-day production schedule. Sr. Production Planner Responsibilities:

  • Create, maintain and communicate a weekly production schedule using capacity, material constraints, and demand as inputs.
  • Manage assigned NPI/Sustaining projects at both strategic and tactical level
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed, to meet changing demands.
  • Manage shipment schedule to meet customer delivery commitments.
  • Provide guidance on production capacity, lead times, and volumes to support Sales and Operations. Identify potential capacity bottlenecks that will affect the build plan.
  • Execute ECO implementation requirements.

Sr. Production Planner Qualifications:

  • 5 years of related experience in materials management, production planning, scheduling, material planning, or purchasing in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Operations Management, or other related field.
  • Experience in production planning, master scheduling, materials management, or material planning in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, including the ability to maintain and enhance Excel-based material shortage reports.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks based on demand.
  • Ability to present build plan/schedule status effectively in weekly program/executive meetings.
  • NPI and master scheduling, and know how to interact with cross-functional teams to drive plan execution.
