A leading professional networking company is seeking a Software Engineer. The successful candidate will develop and operate mission-critical services and applications that are used by customers and employees worldwide. The ideal candidate has two years of experience with Ember JS. The company offers a great work environment.

Software Engineer Pay and Benefits:

• Hourly pay: $60-$85/hr (Pay varies based on the candidate's experience and location)
• Worksite: Leading professional development and networking company (Remote - Candidates must be located in the United States and work Eastern time office hours (ideally 10 am to 6 pm, but flexible for 9 am to 5 pm))
• W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program
• 40 hours/week, 5 Month Assignment

Software Engineer Responsibilities:

• Lead the technical design, implementation, and deployment of software solutions.
• Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams, ensuring that projects are successfully executed meeting our standards for quality software engineering.
• Design and ship a high volume of elegant code with foresight to avoid performance, scalability, usability, maintainability, availability, and testability issues.
• Maintain an understanding of the latest technologies and tools and leverage them to improve existing products and services.
• Identify opportunities within the team for potential leverage and reuse by developing libraries, APIs, and shared services.
• Assist in the onboarding and ramp-up of new engineers.
• Contribute towards the definition of product and technical roadmaps.

Software Engineer Qualifications:

• 5+ years of web development experience.
• 2 years of experience with Ember JS.
• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with TypeScript is preferred.
• Experience with any object-oriented programming (Java, C#) is preferred.
• Experience developing mobile applications is a bonus.
• Proven track record of leading the development of web applications (Javascript).
• Familiarity with Figma or other design software is preferred.
• Working experience in the development as well as consumption of Web Services APIs (JSON / XML / RPC) is preferred.
• Demonstrated understanding of Computer Science fundamentals is preferred.
• Demonstrated understanding of architectural models and the technology stack used for developing highly scalable and highly available web applications and systems is preferred.
• Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal, are preferred.
• Understanding of Agile Software Development methodologies is preferred.

Shift:

• Eastern time office hours (ideally 10 am to 6 pm, but flexible for 9 am to 5 pm).
