The world’s largest professional network is looking for a Software Engineer. The successful candidate will develop and operate mission-critical services and applications that are used by customers and employees worldwide.
Software Engineer Responsibilities:
- Lead the technical design, implementation, and deployment of software solutions.
- Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams, ensuring that projects are successfully executed, meeting our standards for quality software engineering.
- Design and ship high volumes of elegant code with foresight to avoid performance, scalability, usability, maintainability, availability, and testability issues.
- Maintain understanding of the latest technologies and tools and leverage them to improve existing products and services.
- Identify opportunities within the team for potential leverage and reuse by developing libraries, APIs, and shared services.
Software Engineer Qualifications:
- 2+ years 4+ (Preferred) years of software engineering experience.
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Git, Frontend development.
- Proven track record of developing large-scale, highly available services and systems in either JavaScript or HTML.
- Web Development/Design.
- Client/Server Architectures.
- Working experience in the development as well as consumption of Web Services APIs (JSON / XML / RPC) is preferred.
- Python and Java experience is preferred.
- Kotlin, RESTful APIs experience is preferred.
- Working experience building systems, databases, and Linux-based infrastructures is preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of Computer Science fundamentals is preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of architectural models and technology stack used for developing highly scalable and highly available web applications and systems is preferred.
- Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal is preferred.
- An understanding of Agile Software Development methodologies is preferred.
- Experience developing mobile applications is preferred.
