Involves program development, planning and implementation of international and domestic patient referral programs and outreach. Involves donor development, marketing and referral relationship management, excellence in customer service, and streamlining access to clinical services and fundraising.

Experienced professional who knows how to apply theory and put it into practice with in-depth understanding of the professional field; independently performs the full range of responsibilities within the function; possesses broad job knowledge; analyzes problems / issues of diverse scope and determines solutions.

Reporting to the Director of the Executive Health Practice, this positions functions as a contact person for new and returning patients in the Executive Health Practice. The Senior Patient Care Liaison must make a significant contribution to the annual departmental goals relative to improving patient and customer satisfaction, access to clinical services, increased referrals and philanthropy. The PCL is administratively responsible for providing efficient, personalized services to high-level patients in order to coordinate access to all institutional clinical services. Services may include: multiple and complex appointment/consultation scheduling, obtaining records, physician referrals, registration, and obtaining medical records. The employee must be able to effectively communicate with a diverse population of high-level patients and referring entities, including Fortune 500 business leaders and owners, major donors and “friends” of organization, politicians, celebrities, senior leadership and faculty, etc. This position is responsible for accurate completion of all non-nursing tasks involved in supporting the medical providers in the practice.

Senior Patient Care Liaison Pay and Benefits:

  • Hourly pay: $35-$40
  • Worksite: Leading hospital and health care system (San Francisco, CA 94158)
  • W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL
  • 40 hours/week, 7 week assignment, possible extension

Senior Patient Care Liaison Responsibilities:

  • Provides personal and customized service to all new and existing patients calling and checking into the Executive Health Practice. Responsibilities include all front desk check-in processes, record coordination, physician referral registration. Also responsible for handling sensitive, confidential issues and information with the ability to work with an appropriate sense of urgency.
  • Utilizes resources across the health care system to successfully meet program goals. Includes meeting patient satisfaction standards, increased referrals, marketing, outreach and philanthropy.
  • Responsible for helping to provide high-level concierge services while coordianting all aspects related to patient referral
  • Phone reception, overseeing the front area for cleanliness, refilling supplies and assisting patients with beverages.
  • Retrieving faxes and delivering them to appropriate person, helping with coordinating new patient visits.
  • Responsible for submitting and tracking office invoices to be paid by accounts payable
  • Responsible for processing and tracking IT requests for the office
  • Responsible for working with building maintenance on office upgrades and issues
  • Other duties as assigned

Senior Patient Care Liaison Qualifications:

  • Ability to produce an appropriate quantity of work in a timely, consistent matter. Skills to concentrate on monitoring the accuracy of work without getting bogged down in unnecessary detail.
  • Demonstrates skills to teach patients through breaking down moderately complex concepts / policies in an understandable way. For example, explaing insurance policies/issues that may arise
  • Interpersonal skills to develop working positive relationships with patients, team members, and cross-functionally. Actively cooperates and supports the work of others to get a job done.
  • Demonstrates ability to apply reasoning skills to evaluate issues and identify a potential solution. Acquiring analytical abilities to weigh alternative solutions against objectives.
  • Ability to perform all commonly applicable functions in word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Basic knowledge of Insurance Plans and sites to gather information for patients and then share information with clients
  • Working knowledge of medical center to perform essential functions efficiently and effectively.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of concierge services and relevant medical center and policies. Acquiring knowledge of relevant federal, state and local regulations. Ability to follow processes to maintain compliance.
  • Knowledge of cash collection and daily closing drawers
  • Proficient in Apex to scope of job. Ability to register patients, check patients in for appointments.

Shift:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
