A leading university is seeking a Research Nurse. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), with an active and valid California RN license and current BLS certification.

Research Nurse Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications and treatments per study protocol for our study participants. May collect, process, and ship lab specimens.
  • Support the safety of study participants and maintain communication with their families/caregivers and clinicians.
  • Provide clinical and administrative nursing support for research clinical trials based on the scope of practice. Collaborate with clinical staff, researchers, outside vendors, and other staff to administer treatment and study protocols. May coordinate multi-site studies.
  • Conduct study participant evaluations according to the study protocol, assess adverse events, and apply triage and judgment to determine course of action.
  • Comply with institutional policies, standard operating procedures, and guidelines, and prepare and submit documentation as required by the study protocol, study sponsor, and regulatory authorities. Manage essential regulatory documents and handle confidential information (verbal and written) with tact and diplomacy, adhering to all HIPAA guidelines.

Research Nurse Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of related experience.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Clinical research area experience is preferred, cancer area studies.
  • Active and valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • A driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel between our sites and for any type of emergency management for patients

Shift:

  • Part-time, with availability of up to 30 hours per week.
