- 40 hours/week, 7 Month Assignment
A leading electronics testing company is seeking an R&D Hardware Design Engineer. The successful candidate will design electro-mechanical assemblies, machined parts, sheet metal component parts, and corrugated/foam packaging.
R&D Hardware Design Engineer Responsibilities:
- Define mechanical constraints for PCBAs.
- Perform tolerance stackup analysis
- Create fabrication drawings, parts lists, and assembly drawings
- FEA and thermal analysis
- Interface with suppliers' operations to address DFM & DFA issues
- Assemble and validate prototype assemblies
- Create change orders in Agile MRP system
R&D Hardware Design Engineer Qualifications:
- BS Mechanical Engineering Bachelor's Degree
- Experience with GD&T
- Experience with Agile is preferred
- Basic knowledge of PCB fabrication and design guidelines
- Basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator is preferred
- Proficiency with SolidWorks 3D CAD and simulation tools
- Understanding of sheet metal fabrication and machining
- Ability to read electrical schematic diagrams
