A leading digital streaming network seeks a Publishing Operations Manager to manage the operational processes supporting authors, talent, vendors, contracts, invoices, payments, and internal workflows while establishing efficient systems and processes.
Publishing Operations Manager Responsibilities:
- Manage administrative operations for author and talent engagements, including contracts, onboarding, invoices, payments, documentation, and related operational and financial workflows from intake through completion.
- Coordinate contracts and agreements by partnering with Legal, Editorial, Finance, Production, and external representatives; support contract negotiation and drafting as applicable, track execution, monitor milestones and deadlines, and proactively follow up on outstanding obligations.
- Develop, establish, and manage repeatable processes, workflows, operational roadmaps, trackers, and reporting systems for author and talent setup, payment, invoicing, expenses, and other recurring activities, translating and maintaining information across internal systems and platforms.
- Serve as a central point of contact for operational questions and vendor management, coordinating information and documentation among authors, agents, managers, vendors, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams while identifying and resolving discrepancies, delays, and outstanding issues.
- Maintain accurate records and data integrity across contracts, contact information, payment details, invoices, milestones, deadlines, and performance tracking, identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve systems, and increase operational efficiency as the business evolves.
Publishing Operations Manager Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in publishing, entertainment, media, talent management, or a related operational/business environment.
- Strong organizational and project-management skills with exceptional attention to detail and experience managing multiple workflows, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Experience with invoices, payments, contracts, vendor management, or other administrative financial processes.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and databases; experience with Microsoft Office, Google Sheets, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with project management and systems operations, including translating and processing information across systems and workflow platforms, is preferred.
- Interest in and familiarity with the publishing industry and the business of books is preferred.
Shift:
- 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
