  • 40 hours/week, 3 Month Assignment

A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Physical Therapist I to evaluate and treat patients of all ages in an acute care setting, develop and modify individualized plans of care, promote functional recovery, collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, and serve as a clinical resource and role model while delivering high-quality, patient-centered physical therapy services.

Physical Therapist I Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients of all ages and develop individualized physical therapy treatment plans based on clinical assessments, patient needs, and functional goals.
  • Provide evidence-based physical therapy interventions while modifying plans of care as appropriate to optimize patient outcomes throughout treatment.
  • Monitor patient progress, reassess functional status, and adjust treatment strategies to support safe, effective, and patient-centered care.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and professional role model for staff and students by demonstrating excellence in patient care, mentorship, and professional practice.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate care and ensure high-quality rehabilitation services.

Physical Therapist I Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
  • Current Illinois Physical Therapist (PT) License.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Experience providing physical therapy services in an acute care or hospital setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of physical therapy evaluation techniques, treatment planning, rehabilitation principles, and patient care.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively educate patients, families, caregivers, students, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members.

Shift:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.
