Payroll Coordinator

As a key member of the payroll operations team, the Payroll Operations Coordinator is central to ensuring issues are resolved and escalated timely and to support accurate and timely processing of pay for company U.S. employees.  In addition, the Payroll Operations Coordinator is the first line employee facing role for payroll and critical role in ensuring issues resolved accurately and timely and the consumer focus is always top of mind

Responsibilities:

  • Data entry of new hires and W-4, direct deposit, electronic pay statement forms into payroll system
  • Support eTIME issues/entry and distribute bi-weekly reminders to employees
  • Support tasks for banking processes e.g., reporting and data entry
  • Prepare manual checks as needed
  • Own the HR Service Portal ticket incident management process for the payroll operations team
  • Resolve issues as assigned e.g., general payroll questions, employment verification (involving pay)
  • Ensure issues are resolved timely within SLAs and own the management of open issues log with the HR employee service team and escalate appropriately
  • Maintain operations and functions of the HR File room which includes filing all required documents in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Boxing, logging, tracking, sending and receiving files from Iron Mountain on an ongoing basis.
    • Ensuring ongoing daily, monthly and yearly duties related to file room retention periods are performed timely
  • Owns management of incoming and outgoing mailings for team, including fax machine to ensure team has data needed for process and taxes in a timely manner

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of professional experience
  • 1-2 years payroll experience strongly preferred
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience preferred
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Customer service focus
  • Think and work independently
  • Ability to multitask with an attention to detail.
  • Proactively manage individual workload while driving team deliverables
  • Knowledgeable in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of payroll and timekeeping systems preferred (Enterprise and eTIME)

Education Level/Degree:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • AA degree preferred

$25 Per Hour        Pleasanton, CA 94588       5 Month Assignment (temp to hire)
