Optics Inspection Tech - Intermediate (Night) 1283911

A leading technology company is looking for an Optics Inspection Tech - Intermediate (Night). The successful candidate will use mechanical and/or optical measuring equipment (oscilloscopes, autocollimators and/or other related test equipment). The ideal candidate has relevant years of experience in Optical inspection for plano optics including prisms and rooms. The company offers a family-oriented culture and environment!

Optics Inspection Tech - Intermediate (Night) Pay and Benefits:

  • Hourly pay: $30/hr
  • Worksite: Electronics Testing and Measurement Company (Santa Clara, CA 95054 - Onsite)
  • W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL
  • 40 hours/week, 24 Month Assignment

Optics Inspection Tech - Intermediate (Night) Responsibilities:

  • Use mechanical and/or optical measuring equipment (oscilloscopes, autocollimators and/or other related test equipment).
  • Use of computer-automated test systems and entering results.
  • Use of laser alignment and test systems.
  • Use of hand tools and mechanical fixturing for mechanical assembly.
  • Perform cleaning and inspection of optical components and assemblies using approved solvents.

Optics Inspection Tech - Intermediate (Night) Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in optical inspection for plano optics including prisms and rooms.
  • Experience working on new product introduction programs.
  • Experience with laser test and alignment systems.
  • Experience operating optical test systems.
  • Familiar with working Interferometer, laser rails, and optical CMMs.
  • Familiar working with optical components like lenses, mirrors, and prisms.
  • Able to assist to help develop the optical assembly process with feedback to engineers.
  • Excellent teamwork is a must.
  • Very good hand-to-eye coordination.
  • Demonstrate understanding of basic optics technology.
  • Must read and follow written and verbal work instructions and communicate effectively in a team environment.
  • Intermediate mathematical skills including use of basic math and geometry.
  • Adequate visual acuity to perform visual inspection of optical surfaces i.e. color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Excellent manual dexterity.
  • Computer skills for basic MS Office software required, specifically Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.

Optics Inspection Tech - Intermediate (Night) Shift:

  • Monday - Friday 10:00pm- 6:30 am
  • ***Please note that the candidate will need to train on day shift (usually a few months) prior to moving to the scheduled night shift***
