A leading electronics testing company is seeking a Material Buyer Procurement, Planning Coordinator to manage purchasing activities, supplier relationships, and procurement operations in support of manufacturing and product development initiatives. This role focuses on purchase order management, supplier negotiations, contract administration, and executing supply chain strategies to ensure timely delivery, cost optimization, and operational success.

Material Buyer Procurement, Planning Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full purchase order lifecycle, including creation, delivery tracking, invoicing, closure, and communication of delivery status, pricing updates, and potential supply issues to internal stakeholders.
  • Negotiate pricing and commercial terms with suppliers to maximize cost savings, support new product introductions, and ensure timely procurement of materials and services.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while supporting the company's global supply chain strategy and addressing internal customer requirements.
  • Translate assembly drawings, bills of materials, and build plans into executable purchasing and procurement plans.
  • Review and negotiate supplier agreements, including Confidential Disclosure Agreements (CDAs) and Statements of Work (SOWs), and support contract management activities.

Material Buyer Procurement. Planning Coordinator Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, finance, or technology is preferred.
  • Experience in commodity management, procurement, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Strong negotiation skills with demonstrated success in securing favorable supplier terms and cost savings.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Oracle R12 Procurement/ERP systems is preferred.
  • Contract administration and supplier agreement experience is preferred.
