A leading electronics testing company is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Specialist to assemble precision microelectronic components, support manufacturing process improvements, ensure products meet quality and performance specifications, improve manufacturability, troubleshoot production issues, and support the introduction of new products and processes.
Manufacturing Operations Specialist Responsibilities:
- Assemble precision microelectronic components using manufacturing process instructions, hand and power tools, electronics, cabling, soldering techniques, and automated assembly equipment while ensuring products meet quality and manufacturing specifications.
- Support Manufacturing Engineering and R&D by evaluating manufacturability, introducing or modifying processes, programs, fixtures, and equipment, providing Design for Excellence (DFx) recommendations, and improving product quality, efficiency, and productivity.
- Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to resolve manufacturing issues, prevent recurring failures, and improve production reliability.
- Read and interpret schematics, diagrams, symbols, manufacturing documentation, and assembly instructions while retrieving information from manufacturing systems and maintaining accurate process execution.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, perform equipment cleaning and basic maintenance, prioritize daily assignments, and safely handle delicate components while working independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Manufacturing Operations Specialist Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in micro assembly, precision manufacturing, electronics assembly, or a related manufacturing environment.
- Experience assembling precision components using electronics, cabling, soldering, hand and power tools, microscopes, and ultra-small parts with excellent manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, manufacturing documentation, process instructions, symbols, and terminology, with computer skills to access manufacturing platforms and documentation.
- Experience operating or programming GPD dispense systems, MRSI component placement equipment, H&K bonding equipment, or other automated microelectronics assembly equipment is preferred. Ability to stand, sit, bend, or use a microscope for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
Shift:
- 6:00 am to 2:30 pm (flexible, but no later than 8:30 am start).
