Java Developer

We are seeking a skilled Java Developer to join our dynamic software development team. The ideal candidate will have experience designing, implementing, and maintaining Java-based applications, as well as a strong understanding of software development best practices. You will play a crucial role in developing high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our clients and enhance our product offerings.

• Salary: $2.500.000 CLP -$3.500.000 CLP liquido - depending on experience
• Worksite: Santiago Chile - Remote
• 40 hours/week, 6 Month Assignment with potential to extend

Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain Java applications, ensuring they meet functional and performance requirements.
• Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner.
• Work closely with other developers, designers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical insights.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for software development processes, codebases, and system designs.
• Implement unit tests and participate in code reviews to ensure the quality and reliability of the software.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and propose improvements to existing systems and processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven 3-5 years’ experience as a Java Developer with a strong portfolio of Java-based projects.
• Proficiency in Java and related frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate). Experience with RESTful APIs, SQL, and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
