A leading university is seeking an Inspector to assess room conditions, identify damages, and support maintenance readiness following student move-out. This role ensures spaces are properly prepared for incoming residents by coordinating inspections, documentation, and repair workflows.
Inspector Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed room and facility inspections to assess condition, identify damages, safety concerns, missing items, and maintenance needs.
- Collaborate with custodial teams and Housing Building Managers to identify deficiencies, recommend corrective actions, and ensure spaces meet move-in readiness standards.
- Create and manage work orders for maintenance issues, track completion, verify vendor work, custodial cleaning, inventory counts, and fixture inspections.
- Document findings, generate reports, and prepare preliminary damage billing assessments using photos, forms, and established guidelines.
- Support operational tasks including inventory verification, asset and key accountability, facility checks (e.g., custodial closets and lofting rooms), and special projects as assigned.
Inspector Qualifications:
- 1+ year of relevant experience, or a combination of education and experience.
- Experience conducting inspections, documenting findings, and coordinating maintenance or facility-related tasks.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, customer service, and communication skills with the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency with computer systems and software for reporting, documentation, and work order management.
Shift:
- 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Sunday-Thursday.
- Occasional extended hours after 5:00 pm or weekends based on operational needs.
