HR File Clerk

Under the direction of the HR Unit Manager and Health HR, the File Clerk is responsible for preparing department files for regulatory audits.  The incumbent will file and retrieve documents from HR personnel files, complete primary source verifications, and update tracking spreadsheets.

Responsibilities:

  • Retrieve HR personnel documentation from electronic records
  • Complete Primary Source Verification for staff and update files/documentation
  • Create department shadow files

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent with four years related experience; or college degree and six months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to effectively utilize multiple systems, including web-based systems to perform daily work
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information in a discrete and professional manner
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask and manage deadlines
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills

Preferred:

  • Ability to type 50+ WPM
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Human Resources or related field
