A leading University is seeking a Front Desk Assistant - Graduate Housing. The successful candidate will work in the guest house and serve as an information, service, and problem-resolution resource for any housing-related issue for residents, conference guests, student housing staff, and others within and outside our community. Front Desk Assistant - Graduate Housing Pay and Benefits:
- Hourly pay: $25/hr
- Worksite: Leading University (Stanford, CA 94305 - Onsite)
- W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL
- 40 hours/week, 3 Month Assignment
Front Desk Assistant - Graduate Housing Responsibilities:
- Greet students, staff and other guests when they come into the office.
- Answer office phones and respond to questions, referring when necessary.
- Send out mass email notifications.
- Learn and relay complex housing policies and procedures.
- Assist students with lockouts by signing out a board key and/or temporary building access card.
- Sign out hand trucks and vacuums, tracking all activity in the respective log.
- Provide office coverage during the lunch hours and for meetings.
- Notify students via email of any misdirected mail brought into the office.
- Prepare keys and other check in materials.
- Check students in and out, tracking activity via registration cards.
- Assist with regular key inventories.
- Submit work orders, rekey requests, and other maintenance requests into the system.
- Assist with quarter-opening and quarter-closing duties, as necessary.
Front Desk Assistant - Graduate Housing Qualifications:
- 2+ years of related experience.
- Strong email, phone, and in-person customer service experience is essential.
- Hotel Front Desk/Concierge experience is a plus.
- Solid attention to detail, and a personable and welcoming presence.
- Clear, concise, effective communication with individuals and groups of diverse backgrounds is essential.
- Computer-literate and able to learn new systems quickly.
- Ability to work in fast fast-paced environment with interruptions throughout the day.
Front Desk Assistant - Graduate Housing Shift:
- Working schedule varies. Typically evenings and weekends with Wednesdays and Thursdays off.
- The shift time is from 02:00 pm to 10:30 pm with an ½ hour meal period.
- There may be varying hours during peak move-out or check-in weekends and on a project-specific basis.
