A leading medical institution is seeking a Financial Analyst to support financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and transactional finance activities within a centralized business services environment. a diverse portfolio of university administrative and research units, providing financial analysis and operational support while ensuring compliance with established financial policies and internal controls.

Financial Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Develop, interpret, and implement financial concepts related to budget planning, resource allocation, operating forecasts, and financial control activities to support organizational objectives.
  • Gather, organize, analyze, and report financial data to support financial planning, fiscal management, reconciliations, and decision-making, while preparing recommendations based on findings.
  • Utilize spreadsheet and database tools to perform financial analysis, generate reports, and support budget development and management activities across multiple departments and programs.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal control practices, helping safeguard organizational resources and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to provide excellent customer service, manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment, and contribute effectively as a member of the finance team.

Financial Analyst Qualifications:

  • 1 year of related experience in finance, accounting, budgeting, or financial analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of finance policies, practices, systems, and internal control principles.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including experience using spreadsheet and database software to support financial analysis, fiscal management, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • An accounting or finance-related educational background or professional experience is preferred.

Shift:

  • Hybrid: Either 08:00 am to 5:00 pm or 09:00 am to 6:00 pm Pacific Standard Time.
  • 1 day on-site per month.
