A leading medical institution is seeking a Finance Analyst to support financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and fiscal analysis for a diverse portfolio of executive and research departments. This role develops and interprets financial data, prepares reports and forecasts, supports budget management, ensures compliance with financial policies and internal controls, and collaborates with stakeholders to deliver accurate financial analysis.

Finance Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Develop, analyze, and maintain financial plans, budgets, forecasts, reconciliations, and reports to support organizational resource planning and budget management across assigned departments.
  • Gather, organize, and analyze financial data using spreadsheets and databases, preparing accurate financial reports and recommendations while ensuring compliance with financial policies and internal control practices.
  • Support financial transactions, purchasing, reconciliations, and fiscal management activities while adapting to changing priorities in a high-volume environment.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to communicate financial information, provide analytical support, and deliver responsive customer service across executive, academic, and research units.
  • Maintain accurate financial documentation, contribute to process improvements, and support team objectives while protecting University resources through sound financial practices.

Finance Analyst Qualifications:

  • 1 year of related finance or accounting experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Working knowledge of financial policies, practices, systems, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheet development, financial analysis, and reporting tools.
  • Ability to gather and analyze financial information, present findings clearly in verbal and written formats, and manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail.

Shift:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm or 9:00 pm to 6:00 pm PST
  • Hybrid: onsite one day per month.
