A leading professional networking company seeks an Editorial Project Manager - NAMER to join the NAMER Editorial Team to support the growth of editorial special projects, including our list campaigns (i.e. Top Companies), special reports, and tentpole moment activations. In this role, the Manager will work with editors around the world, as well as cross-functional teams, to execute campaigns that help professionals navigate their careers. The ideal candidate has strong project management and communications skills to operate these projects across teams and time zones, as well as basic data fluency and good editorial judgment.. Editorial Project Manager - NAMER Pay and Benefits:
- Hourly pay: $45/hr - $ 55/hr
- Worksite: Leading professional development and networking company (New York City, NY - Hybrid, Must be onsite on Tuesdays and Thursdays)
- W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL
- 40 hours/week, 12 Month Assignment
Editorial Project Manager - NAMER Responsibilities:
- Work closely with individuals across time zones and cultures to drive complex projects forward, ultimately helping members around the world pinpoint new opportunities to grow their careers.
- Work with multiple stakeholders build multiple relationships, understand competing needs, monitor and drive progress on projects.
- Establish materials that help streamline project processes and keep projects highly organized for broader teams.
- Establish project standards, cadence and version controls for project documentation and workflow to ensure success of programs.
- Proactively develop new project tools and templates to support the team.
- Assist with the creation and update of key project artifacts (project charters, project plans, project resource plans, project budgets and communications/change plans) and with meeting facilitation by sending meeting agendas, taking meeting minutes and tracking assigned project team activities.
- Track and report on key metrics and use problem-solving skills to logically structure ambiguous problems, identify sources of data, conduct analysis, derive key insights and deliver recommendations.
- Own and manage multiple, concurrent operations projects of varying complexity.
- Help write internal memos and wrap-up reports around projects, informing executives and stakeholders about project wins and learnings.
- Help build distribution tactics based on previous project learnings.
Editorial Project Manager - NAMER Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a non-technical position supporting project/ program management in a news, media, advertising, or marketing environment.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Teams and Slack experience - MS Office.
- Google Suite.
- Adaptable and action-oriented.
- Demonstrated communication and writing skills.
- Passionate about organization and deadline-driven.
- Comfortable with data.
- Willingness to pitch in where needed to achieve the goals of a small team.
- Passion for and the editorial’s goal of bringing professionals the news and insights they need.
- Excited to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- A strategic approach with a knack for testing and iterating to find out what works.
- A self-starter and quick learner with strong attention to detail. The candidate should also ideally have previous experience in an editorial environment.
