Job Description

Editorial Operations Coordinator

Seeking a talented individual to manage crucial aspects of editorial production and operations for the company's Original Content team. With a growing list of titles, the individual would be integrally involved in coordinating among multiple company teams, tracking progress on titles in development, working with editors to meet deadlines, and managing all other elements of the editorial production process.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with editors and producers on the company's Originals team to manage their production pipeline and ensure that deadlines are met and all necessary steps of the production process are completed
  • Oversee freelance fact-checking, copyediting, cover design and all other ancillary elements to the content creation process
  • Coordinate effectively among cross-functional teams, particularly the company's audio production, merchandising, deal-making, marketing, metadata, and public relations teams, to ensure all deadlines are met in a timely manner
  • Occasionally review ad hoc submissions to the company's Originals team

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 1 – 3 years of experience in a media production environment
  • Candidate should be self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under deadline, a talent for getting things done, and a teamwork-oriented attitude required

  • Love and interest in all forms of media—both as a consumer and as a professional in the industry
  • A sense of humor
