Our Editorial team is looking for a Copy Editor to support the production of the high-profile, customer-facing web--pages; you will fact-check and copyedit original content written by editors, business owners, and/or narrators and authors. To excel in this position, you will be comfortable in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, with high expectations for work quality and output. You're used to dealing with tight deadlines and can manage the requirements of various internal stakeholders. You improve the entire look and feel of your projects through your attention to detail, and your work on the page seems effortless (we know it’s not!)


  • Edit original editorial content and copy that will enhance a customer’s understanding and enjoyment of key titles
  • Provide guidance to the Editorial Projects team on best practices for each type of copy on the page, to ensure consistency and reduce errors from the start of the process
  • Liaise with other copy-editors and internal stakeholders to resolve questions about the existing guidance, and maintain up-to-date guidance for all
  • Fact-check the information in creator bios and for creator awards on 20 pages per month
  • Pitch in as needed to help editors revise or rewrite existing copy

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Media, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Proven excellence in copyediting, especially copy about books and audiobooks
  • Familiarity with books and audiobooks
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven track record of managing multiple tasks with speed, effectiveness, and attention to detail
  • Ability to know or to research when/whether an author’s name (or narrator) is mispronounced
