The Content Team is looking for an Associate Manager of Content Partnerships and Programming to (1) support promotions that drive sales of the outstanding content created by our critically-acclaimed Original Content team, (2) develop and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams by sharing information, insights and planning to help support releases, and (3) ensure the smooth operation of Original Content Partnerships and Programming by providing administrative and analytical support. This role sits at a dynamic nexus in the company, where content creation, building a cohesive slate of Original titles and marketing and promoting these titles to the members all intersect. It requires experience in online marketing, the ability to tell a compelling story about why people should care about a title, elite organizational and communication skills, analytical ability, and a whole lot of energy. The right candidate will be able to demonstrate sound business sense, comfort with massive throughput and sprawling details, a creative mind, and a knack for getting things done.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the internal release calendar, content descriptions and track all promotional plans
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify creative assets that can be used for social promotion as well as on title-specific pages
  • Manage the Content Partnerships and Programming planning calendar, incorporating key milestones and content releases, industry events, and keeping the team on track
  • Manage both collection and tracking of rights usage for creative associated with all Original titles
  • Act as a key liaison to the Social team, coordinating creative and monthly priorities and writing social copy for Originals content creators as needed
  • Work closely with the Merchandising teams to ensure they have what they need to promote key titles and that all promotions occur as planned
  • Support Original content creators by providing information and promotional tools
  • Track completed promotions, create wrap documents for content creators and agents, and perform analyses as needed to monitor effectiveness; communicate results to key stakeholders
  • Read and listen to early drafts of Original Content with an eye towards promotion via owned marketing channels, as needed
  • Provide administrative support to the Senior Director and Senior Manager of Content Partnerships and Programming to facilitate the team’s smooth operation

Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 3-5 years experience in related fields (entertainment, media or publishing preferred, but not required)
  • Strong writing and copyediting skills
  • Background in online consumer marketing or merchandising
  • Extremely organized and highly detail-oriented
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and projects simultaneously
    • Ability to perceive the “hook” for promoting a piece of content
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
    • Social Media training a plus
