A leading medical institution is seeking an Analytics Engineer to support data initiatives at the intersection of data engineering, business intelligence, and applied AI. This role will focus on building scalable, governed, and accurate data solutions, enabling advanced analytics, and supporting healthcare data reporting aligned with CMS and regulatory standards.

  • Design, develop, and maintain analytic-ready datasets and enterprise DataMarts (e.g., ODAG, Timeliness, Risk Adjustment) aligned with standardized business definitions and CMS-driven logic.
  • Build and optimize data pipelines and workflows using Databricks and modern data platforms, integrating data from sources such as Epic Clarity, Tapestry, claims systems, and external vendors.
  • Transform, validate, and manage large-scale healthcare datasets (e.g., HEDIS, CMS, lab data) while automating data processes to improve reliability and reduce manual intervention.
  • Develop and maintain business intelligence solutions, including Tableau and Power BI dashboards, enabling self-service analytics through curated datasets.
  • Leverage Python and AI/LLM capabilities to support advanced analytics, automation, and development of data products that enhance operational decision-making.
  • Integrate LLM-based capabilities for summarization, classification, and insight generation to support AI-driven data products and intelligent workflows.
  • Partner with Managed Care, Finance, Operations, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver practical, end-to-end data solutions.
  • Design, build, and own scalable data solutions from development through implementation, supporting the transition toward automated data pipelines and AI-enriched datasets.

Analytics Engineer Qualifications:

  • 5-8+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data engineering within healthcare, managed care, or Epic healthcare data environments.
  • Proven experience designing and developing analytic-ready datasets and enterprise DataMarts for reporting and operational analytics.
  • Hands-on experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks, Azure Data Lake, or Snowflake.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for transforming and managing large, complex datasets.
  • Experience building dashboards and visualizations using Tableau and/or Microsoft Power BI.
  • Experience using Python for data processing, automation, and analytics workflows.
  • Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines, including data ingestion, transformation, and validation.
  • Exposure to AI/ML or LLM-based use cases, including summarization, classification, or insight generation.
  • Strong software engineering skills with the ability to design, build, and own solutions from start to finish; candidates with primarily configuration or reporting-focused experience are not preferred.
  • Experience working with healthcare data domains such as claims, enrollment, provider data, or electronic health records (Epic Clarity is preferred).
  • Hands-on experience within the Medicare Advantage domain, including a strong understanding of RAF/risk adjustment methodologies and HEDIS reporting requirements.
  • Experience supporting regulatory or audit-driven reporting, including CMS, HEDIS, or Medicare Advantage.
  • Experience collaborating directly with business users and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver practical solutions.
  • Experience with AI, automation, or intelligent workflow development is highly preferred.
