A leading medical institution seeks an Administrative Associate - Healthcare. The successful candidate will provide secretarial and clerical support to a department and function independently in carrying out standard and complex office procedures and relating to other physician offices, providers, and families. The Associate will also act as primary contact between hospital personnel, employees, vendors, managers, and administration.

Administrative Associate - Healthcare Pay and Benefits:

  • Hourly pay: $30/hr
  • Worksite: Oakland, CA 94609 - Onsite
  • W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL
  • 40 hours/week, 3 Month Assignment

Administrative Associate - Healthcare Responsibilities:

  • Prepares Clinic Charts
  • Review and process all incoming referrals via facsimile and the RMO system.
  • Greet families, answer questions, and direct families to other areas of the hospital.
  • Gathers accurate patient demographic information.
  • Schedule appointments for patients, as directed by departmental policies.
  • Verify insurance eligibility.
  • Maintain knowledge of contracted payers and other revenue sources.
  • Process all patient billing according to hospital policy.
  • Receive and post payments according to hospital policy.
  • Obtain and issue authorizations and referrals as needed for clinic, ED, inpatient, and surgical procedures as needed.
  • Support phone queue.
  • Comply with established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, customer service, safety, environmental and infection control standards

Administrative Associate - Healthcare Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in a physician's, medical office, or hospital setting.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Personal computer knowledge and skills, preferably with Microsoft Office.
  • Minimum typing speed of 55 wpm.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work under pressure, with constant interruptions.

Shift:

  • M-F 8 hrs/day, 40 hrs/week, Day shift
