A leading digital streaming company is looking for an Administrative Assistant to support the EVP of Communications and the Media Relations department with overall administrative functions, research projects, and processing invoices/expenses.
Administrative Assistant Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the EVP of Communications and the Media Relations department. Administrative responsibilities include filing, answering phones, calendar management, coordinating travel, managing scheduling for the EVP and department events.
- Perform special projects and research as needed, such as searching for press articles or stories/articles that are breaking for the company’s TV show campaigns.
- Assist at special events.
- Process invoices and expense reports.
- Coordinate press copy, program information and show storylines for approval and distribution.
Administrative Assistant Qualifications:
- 2+ years of entertainment or publicity experience (will consider candidates who are recent graduates from college who have initiative and drive for providing operational support in this industry, and are interested in working in TV/publicity)
- Bachelor’s degree
- Must be extremely organized and detail oriented.
- Must have extensive knowledge of computer word processing and social media. PC proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook
- Must be able to navigate the internet for research and interactive applications and possess intuition and instincts to use new and emerging media platforms with a high level of proficiency.
- Must have excellent communication and organizational skills. This is an outward facing role, should work well in a team environment, be personable and efficient,be able to communicate effectively with senior leaders.
- This is a fast paced environment so should be familiar with working under deadlines and able to mulittask and pivot to other responsibilities with agility.
- Should be able to execute tasks with general guidance, and work independently.
- The high priority currently is managing the invoices/expenses that need to be processed. Must feel comfortable using several systems and have good general math skills to manage those tasks.
- Capable of using discretion as we filter confidential information within the organization.
Shift:
- Hours: 9am to 6pm
- May require potential weekend events as needed with overtime, potentially 1-2 times/month
