A leading digital streaming network is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to assist the residuals team in resolving a backlog of check reissues. The successful candidate will focus on researching historical payment activity, validating internal records, and supporting the reissue of outstanding residual payments. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with an accounting background and a focus on operational cleanup and accuracy. The company offers a great work environment!

Accounts Payable Specialist Pay and Benefits:

  • Hourly pay: $23/hr
  • Worksite: Leading digital streaming network (Los Angeles, CA 90038 - Hybrid, Must be onsite Mondays and Tuesdays (Definite Tuesday) other days negotiable (Usually remote on Thursdays and Fridays)
  • W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL
  • 40 hours/week, 5 Month Assignment

Accounts Payable Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Review and reconcile aged, stale-dated, or escheated checks tied to residual payments.
  • Investigate historical transactions and supporting documentation to confirm payment accuracy.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders (e.g. Payroll and Unclaimed Property) to validate reissue payment information and resolve outstanding reissues.
  • Enter, update, and correct payment data in internal systems (e.g., PARIS and SAP).
  • Track progress and provide regular updates on reissue efforts.

Accounts Payable Specialist Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, Payroll, or a related finance function.
  • Experience with systems such as PARIS, SAP, and PeopleSoft.
  • Strong understanding of accounting concepts including debits, credits, and reconciliations.
  • Proven ability to research and resolve payment discrepancies with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new systems and tools.
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple departments.

Shift:

  • 9:30 am to 6:30 pm (Flexible).
