A leading digital streaming network seeks an Accountant to support revenue accounting operations across digital and streaming business units. This role is responsible for revenue recognition, contract review, sales order validation, month-end close activities, reconciliations, and collaboration with Sales and Client Services teams to ensure compliance with GAAP, SOX, and company revenue recognition policies in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Accountant Responsibilities:

• Review advertising and digital media contracts, validate sales order setup, and ensure revenue recognition complies with GAAP, SOX controls, company policies, and established revenue recognition requirements while resolving order exceptions and supporting accurate revenue processing in Oracle.
• Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries, revenue calculations, accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, revenue analysis, and preparation of accounting documentation to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Partner with Sales, Client Services, Business Operations, and cross-functional teams to research revenue variances, resolve contract and order discrepancies, provide revenue recognition guidance, support ad hoc training, and improve accounting processes.
• Support internal controls and audit activities by preparing documentation for SOX, internal, and external audits while participating in revenue accounting projects, process improvements, and ongoing financial analysis.
• Utilize Oracle, ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and related business applications to analyze financial data, manage revenue transactions, prioritize multiple deadlines, and maintain accurate accounting records in a fast-paced environment.

Accountant Qualifications:

• 2+ years of accounting experience with hands-on responsibility for revenue accounting, revenue recognition, journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Experience reviewing contracts, validating revenue transactions, and supporting revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP and SOX requirements.
• Experience using Oracle or another major ERP system.
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including lookup functions, pivot tables, and financial data analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with Sales, Client Services, and cross-functional teams.
• Advertising media industry experience, Operative One, and Salesforce experience are preferred.

Shift:

• Hybrid through August (onsite Wednesdays/as needed); full-time onsite starting September.
• 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, or 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
