A leading digital streaming company is looking for an Accountant to help with payables, expense reports, processing and reviewing account coding, working on PO’s, compiling backup for journal entries, reconciliation workbooks, troubleshooting any onboarding issues, checking payments status, and monitoring deadlines for payments, month end close, and electronic filing for data.
Accountant Responsibilities:
- • Process payment requests by verifying contract terms and updating payment schedules accordingly for CBS Studios Development and Overhead
• Review weekly payroll and timecard data to ensure accuracy and completeness for term deal employees
• Code accounts payable transactions for term deal and overhead expenses, securing necessary approvals and ensuring timely payments
• Collaborate with HR and production teams to support term deal requirements and assist other studio departments as needed
• Partner with Contract Administration to resolve vendor setup issues and support vendor onboarding and offboarding processes
• Assist with month-end close activities related to Smart Accounting systems
• Maintain accurate working files and documentation to support financial audits and reporting
Accountant Qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or payroll operations, preferably in the entertainment industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Highly organized, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize their work.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Strong attention to details.
- Oracle experience preferred.
- Experience working in Finance/Accounting in production entertainment is highly preferred.
- Proficient in Adobe Acrobat, including how to consolidate files and extract information from contracts.
