  • 40 hours/week, 4 Month Assignment, possible extension

A leading digital streaming network seeks an Accountant. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accounting activities and reporting for the domestic & international physical licensing business, in compliance with individual licensee contractual terms.

Accountant Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze license agreements (interprets contractual terms; establishes revenue recognition requirements; establishes billing and payment terms).
  • Enter contracts into Media Maestro (PHE’s licensing platform).
  • Review statements sent through the licensee portal and pushes statement to Media Maestro.
  • Perform activities (reconciliations, title issues, etc) required for processing statements in Media Maestro to ensure the correct recognition of revenue.
  • Prepare monthly reporting (AR Aging, Bad Debt, P&L, etc.).
  • Prepare cash application journals and month-end accruals (Domestic)..

Accountant Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance
  • Experience with financial analysis, US GAAP, and IFRS- international accounting principles.
  • Experience in month-end close and reporting preferred.
  • Experience in the entertainment industry preferred.
  • Experience contract review.
  • Licensing experience.
  • Experience with Media Maestro and SAP & Oracle.
  • Ability to review and analyze large volumes of information.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (specifically Excel) is preferred.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload efficiently, and meet strict deadlines is preferred.

Shift:

  • 9 am to 6 PM with 1 hour lunch.
  • Overtime may be required, particularly at the end of the month.
