Avi Networks is a stealth mode start-up charged with building revolutionary networking technology for data centers.  Headed by an exceptional founding team and outstanding investors Greylock and Lightspeed, our team has a passion for engineering excellence and customer-centric innovation.  We accordingly seek a brilliant and driven Sales Engineer to help deliver our product to the market.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting pre-sales technical assistance, product education, and after-sales support services.

  • Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product meets client needs.

  • Developing and delivering product demonstrations.

  • Participating and representing Avi Networks in customer field events such as trade shows, conferences, seminars, etc.

  • Responding to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs.

  • Conveying customer requirements to Product Management teams.

 

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Self-motivated with a proven track record in software sales and a strong knowledge of technology.

  • Ability to engage with customers and capability to evangelize product by highlighting technical merits while simultaneously addressing customer needs.

  • Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base.

  • Strong presentation skills / ability to communicate professionally via written responses including emails, RFPs, and reports.

  • Prepared for extensive travel.

  • 5+ years relevant experience in vendor sales.

  • Experience and familiarity with DC infrastructure products, SDN, and virtualization.

  • B.S. in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
