Web Developer (Front-End)

Design | Raleigh, NC | Full Time

Job Description

Are you able to take a complex design and transform it to a complex interactive experience? Do you stay up late looking for the next technology to make your workflow and site perform better? We are looking for a solid, driven Web Developer who has a passion for learning and getting better growing through practice and application of well built interactive interfaces.

You will work alongside a talented and diverse group of designers, user experience strategists, and programmers and front end developers. Below is a breakdown an overview of responsibilities, qualifications and nice to haves. Don’t rule yourself out if you don’t have all the skills. We are looking for passionate, driven people that care about their craft and improving every day on a daily basis.


  • Build mobile first, standards compliant sites from beautiful design comps

  • Enhance sites with transitions, animations, and interactivity using Javascript

  • Site integration into enterprise level CMS and ecommerce frameworks

  • Work on large scale projects

  • Troubleshoot development work and improve site efficiency, browser compatibility and validation

  • Actively participating in internal and client-facing presentations


  • 3-5 years of relevant experience (preferably agency)

  • Expert level skills with web development practices and technologies (HTML5, CSS3, responsive web design, sass)

  • Working knowledge of Git and package manager Bower

  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks (angular) and animation libraries (jQuery) and DOM manipulation

  • Ability to write structured Javascript with tools like Grunt

  • Production level design skills in Adobe Photoshop

  • Experience and highlighted examples in developing for sites, mobile apps and web apps

  • Familiarity with integrating sites within programming frameworks


  • Must have excellent problem solving skills and love technical challenges

  • Open to new technologies and experiments with the latest trends

  • Deadline driven with a keen eye for quality and attention to detail

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to work independently and in a team

  • Positive attitude and plays well with others, collaboration is key

  • Passion for getting better learning with a focus on the end user and deeming a project success only when business and user goals are met

Nice to have:

  • Magento e-commerce integrations

  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies like Scrum

  • Experience with basic UNIX commands and working with the command line

  • Working knowledge of programming frameworks and basic programming principles
