The Digital Project Manager is responsible for overall delivery and execution of web-related projects. The ideal candidate should have experience managing web projects from definition through launch. The Digital Project Manager will work closely with internal teams as well as clients to get projects started quickly, scheduled, updated, and keep projects running efficiently through the agency. This position is well suited for someone interested in working within a fast-paced online environment.
Job Functions
Serve as project manager and account manager to deliver projects, cultivate relationships, and identify mutual business opportunities.
Foster strong relationships with clients and serve as a liaison between them and the team
Collaborate with clients and teams to facilitate new opportunity development aligned with client vision and business goals.
Demonstrate strong understanding of web design and development best practices to effectively bridge the gap between clients and the company.
Lead cross-functional teams through project planning and scheduling to meet project deadlines.
Ensure solid processes are in place to help drive success of the project
Document all client communications with a high level of transparency on status of projects
Prioritize deliverables and communicate key points effectively to the client and production team
Understand and own project scope, budget, and timeline
Monitor time tracked and used for each development stage
Assist in reviewing features prior to deployment
Understand cloud hosting needs for coordination between client and IT
Demonstrate ability to complete multiple tasks concurrently and deliver results under pressure
Manage account contracts and opportunities through Salesforce
Complete ownership of your projects and solutions
Qualifications
Four-year college degree in marketing, communications, or related field, or equivalent experience
3-5 years web development or project management experience, preferably in an agency environment; PMP not required
Solid understanding of web development, techniques and best practices
Experience with content management system or Ecommerce administration, such as with WordPress, Drupal, or Magento
Experience with a digital project management system, Jira preferred
Entrepreneurial “out of the box” individual who thinks conceptually and has the ability to create and champion ideas through the approval process to implementation
Thinking two steps ahead of the client with a solution before one is asked for
Must be able to work in a team oriented agency environment and be goals/results oriented
Have a “thick skin” when the going gets tough. Must be able to communicate effectively when demanding conflicts emerge
Excellent self-motivator with organizational and time management skills
Demonstrated ability to complete multiple tasks concurrently and deliver results under pressure.
Excellent analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills – ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interface with all levels and departments on a formal, informal, written and verbal basis who are able to execute with strong business, people and presentation skills
Physical Demands and Work Environment
This job requires routine desk and computer work. No travel is required.
