What You’ll Be Doing

We are looking for an energetic Manager, Senior Manager or Director of Marketing, with general marketing duties collaborating with our external marketing firm and driving internal coordination, and with significant time focused on thought leadership generation and producing industry events for Asurity. This position can be remote, but is ideally within driving distance from our Washington, DC, Knoxville, Tennessee or Dallas, Texas office.

Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • 8+ years’ experience leading day-to-day marketing activities in collaboration with business unit leadership:
    • Social Media (Owned Channels)
    • Email Marketing
    • Paid Media Oversight
    • Website Management & SEO
    • Content Production (Thought Leadership) - elicit input from our subject-matter experts, come up the curve on our business and assist in generating content over time for blogs, social posts, and more
    • Press/Media Relations
  • Requires experience managing / working with third party agency relationships and other vendors, including potential management of future marketing/events hires if need arises.
  • As needed, manage marketing budget, and evaluate and manage marketing technology options (i.e., Pardot, Wordpress, and other tools).
  • Present marketing plans and results to management
  • Define and deliver high impact, industry-focused events which will create awareness around the solutions and services we offer, connect with our clients, and position Asurity to lead the industry forward.
  • Plan, oversee and lead large-scale promotional events (subject matter conferences) with responsibilities including:
    • Developing strategies that deliver on ROI and ROE; contracting and negotiating contracts; ensuring payment of invoices
    • Effectively communicating with internal and external parties; managing relationships and expectations of clients, vendors, sponsors, and regulators
    • Conducting onsite visits and evaluations; assessing production elements including AV, catering, venues, hotel space and room set-ups; ensure accordance with local and state laws
    • Planning work-back schedules and timelines
    • Evaluating risks and problem solving; analyzing post-event feedback for incorporation of future events/campaigns
  • Create and deploy engaging strategies and content to:
    • Draw the attention of the market which will elevate our brand
    • Facilitate forums that push SMEs to provide meaningful insights and thought leadership
    • Partner with industry groups to enable participants to obtain continuing education credit
    • Assist in creating promo materials and thought leadership pieces regarding compliance topics or content germane to ours and our customer’s business
    • Actively engage with Asurity marketing and sales teams, potentially picking up additional activities as time permits
  • Occasional travel will be required
  • CMP, CSEP, CPCE, CGMP, CEM, CMM or DMCP certifications are preferred
