Associate – Treasury Management

Responsibilities:

The Associate will work closely with senior executives to manage and maintain the treasury management and invoice processing responsibilities for Asana Partners. The Associate will report to the Director – Corporate Accounting and Treasury Management and have day-to-day responsibility for treasury management, payroll, and invoice processing duties.   Duties include:

  • Perform treasury management functions including cash flow management as well as debt draw requests
  • Understand, manage, and supervise company cash flow
  • Assist with cash management procedures and maintain banking relationships for new bank account and treasury management products setup
  • Forecast company cash requirements (daily, weekly, and monthly)
  • Review and monitor bank accounts and cash balances
  • Monitor and analyze bank service fees
  • Perform monthly close procedures within a defined time period
  • Responsible for invoice processing and vendor setup within Yardi, including maintenance of W-9 and W-8 files
  • Review, approve, and post expense reports on a monthly basis
  • Monitor and enforce compliance by all employees involved in the invoicing and payment process in respect to standard company policies and procedures
  • Process and ensure timely vendor payments via check and electronic funds transfer
  • Respond to vendor inquiries in a timely, courteous manner
  • Preparation and review of annual 1099s
  • Prepare account reconciliations and post journal entries
  • Prepare intracompany invoices and fee calculations
  • Update and maintain expense allocations and documentation
  • Maintain and document policies and procedures around financial reporting, internal controls, and accounting system infrastructure
  • Provide acquisition and transaction support for Investments team
  • Assist with payroll, benefits, and HR responsibilities
  • Assist staff to locate documents for audit, tax, and other research projects
  • Assist with compliance procedures and reporting as needed
  • Respond to property and asset manager inquiries

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, business, or a finance related field; MACC or CPA or equivalent preferred
  • 1+ year experience in accounting
  • Excellent analytical and technical accounting skills
  • Excellence in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; Yardi experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of GAAP (fair value accounting) preferred
  • Previous treasury management and cash management experience preferred
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and capable of effective independent judgment
  • Acute attention to detail and passion for quality
  • Strong organizational and process skills to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Ability to meet and manage critical deadlines and to work independently
  • Interested in process improvement and documentation
  • Limited travel
