ARCA is seeking an experienced Software Developer to develop and maintain an Application Programming Interface (API) product, Envoy, written primarily in C++ used for the communication and control of automated cash handling machinery. Our API is a middleware layer between the cash device's embedded software and a customer's user-oriented application.
You should have 2+ years of applications development working with C++ in a Windows or Linux environment. You should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other quantitative field. You may be required to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally and move heavy machinery with a pallet jack.
- Development and modification of software applications
- Debugging and repair of software
- Testing software systems and applications

- Evaluation and review of software written by others

- Support of software deployed to customers
- Documentation of software description and functionality, work efforts, support recommendations, research findings and operational instructions
- 2+ years experience
- Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field
- C++ applications development
- CMake and Makefiles
- Git and git flow
- IntelliJ or Eclipse
- Communication libraries for USB, TCP/IP and RS-232
- Test framework software development
- JSON knowledge
