Marketing Analytics Specialist

Job Description

Anvil is adding a Marketing Analytics Specialist to our Decision Science team. We work with an impressive roster of clients (80% healthcare) across the country and they rely on our team to help them understand the impact of their marketing dollars. Our team helps our clients ensure the data they are relying on to make decisions is accurate and timely, and design dashboards that provide real insight into their decision-making process. The Decision Science team then works cross-functionally with our marketing and strategy teams to implement strategic and tactical campaign improvements to drive better results.

The Marketing Analytics Specialist will be an integral part of the team, helping conduct Google Analytics and GTM Audits, set up data integrations and tags, and build dashboards in Data Studio. This role requires prior experience and knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Facebook tracking pixels, and Data Studio. To perform well in this role you need expertise across marketing analytics strategy and operations while possessing the ability to confidently come into this role and contribute immediately. The ideal candidate is eager, passionate about their craft, collaborative, work well within all aspects of a team, and has strong written and verbal communication skills. 

This is currently a fully remote position but the Anvil team loves seeing each other in person, so when COVID allows we do occasional in-person collaboration sessions. STL-based is preferred but not required, as we have employees across the US.

What will your day-to-day look like?

  • Collaboration with Strategy and Digital teams to set client goals and strategies for Measurement Plans 

  • Google Analytics and GTM Audits to ensure accurate setup and data reliability 

  • Setup and monitor tracking for other marketing sources, such as Google and Bing Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Facebook Ads, etc. 

  • Monitor and maintain data quality for reporting

  • Understand client objectives and underlying questions in order to define meaningful KPIs to measure success of various initiatives

  • Analyze data across multiple platforms in order to create reports that outline key findings

  • Identify trends and provide strategic recommendations to help clients achieve goals and drive better business decisions

  • Deliver projects on time while ensuring quality standards are met

  • Approach each project with a positive problem-solving attitude 

  • Visualize data in Data Studio dashboards and exported reports in order to clearly convey insight to clients

  • Research and strategy for conversion rate optimization efforts

  • Implement conversion rate optimization programs, using A/B and multivariate testing methodologies 

What technical experience should you have?

  • 3+ years of experience working in the marketing industry - agency work is a plus!

  • 3+ years experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google Ads (tracking, not managing)

  • Google Analytics, GTM and Data Studio certification

  • Working knowledge and comfort with JavaScript and CSS

  • Experience with Conversion Rate Optimization tools and processes, such as Lucky Orange, Unbounce, or Google Optimize
