ABA Therapist- Home Based Services

ABA therapist is responsible for the implementation of a student’s educational and behavioral programming in their home. Responsibilities include implementing and monitoring educational, clinical, and medical programming for all assigned individuals. In addition, ABA Therapist is responsible for assisting BCBA consultant in the overall management of student on their case load and the overall running of a home program.
Develop, implements and reviews IEP’s. Formally and informally respond to needs, desires and interests of individuals.
Case management: Implements plans collaboratively and expeditiously.
Instructs, assists & supervises individuals in the areas of personal care, adaptive equipment, education skills, social skills, nutrition & meal preparation, community inclusion, travel training, consumer funds, self-preservation, and religious practice if desired, etc.
Participates in program development, implementation, data collection and analysis for individuals in need of behavioral modification.
Meets with BCBA regularly.
Maintains required student documentation: individual logs, progress notes, quarterly reports, and behavioral and educational monthly reports as instructed by supervising consultant, etc.
Provides day to day implementation of educational and behavioral programming while working in a direct ratio with assigned students.
Ensures adequate supplies are kept and on hand. Requests additional resources in conjunction with the lead BCBA if needed.
Maintains cooperative communication with other service providers, advocates, family members and guardians under the direction of the supervising BCBA.
Maintains good public relations with the community. Communication is effective and professional.
Organizes student home schedules effectively.
